It's almost time for me to start school again on Monday! I'm so excited to be in 2nd grade. Mom and I went to the meet and greet at the school today to meet my teacher. I was disappointed that I didn't get Jack's mom, but she moved up to 3rd grade. I have Mrs. Harkey who is new to my school. She's young and seems really nice. And a few of my friends will be in my class!!! Mom bought me a new outfit for the first day of school, but I'm not going to say what it looks like until she posts pictures on Monday! It's soooo cool!
I have football practice on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. It's so hard and tiring. But I tackled a boy on the 9-11 year old team today during scrimmage. That was awesome! The coach told my mom that I'm doing really well and he's glad that I'm on the team. He got onto my team on Tuesday because the boys don't want to tackle me. I ended up getting tackled by the biggest boy on the team. I got a small bruise on my left arm from it, and I showed it off proudly to my friends and all the teachers at the school today.
My Kindergarten teacher said she would drive to Charlotte to watch one of my games! She used to play flag football in college and she was a linebacker. She thinks it's awesome that I play football. Everyone thinks it's awesome! Mom said lots of people are going to come watch me play and that everyone is so proud of me. I'm just happy that I get to do it. I've wanted to play football since I was 5 years old.
Mom told me tonight that she read online that over 2,000 girls play high school football each season and it's going up every year. I want to be one of them!
My friend Sarah has been coming over during the day all week while her mom and dad work. It's been fun having a friend around, but tomorrow is the last day. Sarah's mom invited me to go to Carowinds with them next Sunday! I can't wait...I've wanted to go for so long because they have a dinosaur exhibit there, roller coasters, and a water park. It's going to be so much fun.
Opening ceremony for football is Saturday. Mom will definitely be taking pictures and video that day and will post them this weekend.

Steelers Football
Football is the best sport ever! I am a wide receiver/middle linebacker for the Steelers this fall. It's really hard, but I have a lot of fun with my team. My coach is cool even though he is really tough on us sometimes. Opening ceremony is next weekend with a scrimmage game then our official first game is the following weekend! I can't wait! The video above is from practice today...I'm in orange! Sorry, it's not very good, my mom took it with her cell phone as it was getting dark.

May 24 and 26th - Fun around Charlotte
Mom and I went with Papa John to the pop jet park, then we went to swim at Mrs. Karen's. On our way home, Mom and I went to the airport overlook in Charlotte and watched airplanes. Then a couple days later, mommy and I went with to the McDowell Nature Preserve.
